its not luck its the economy! if it was based on luck i would of been unemployed years ago.

Hey bro ,I'm in the same boat.Was at the union hall Tuesday and was told it would be aprox.1-3 mos before anything started.I was sceptical last year,but then I got on the Clev.Clinic Heart center project and the Glickmen tower connected to it.Worked 65-70 per week and at one point 3mos without a day off.By the time the project was finished I made what I make in 1 1/2 yrs in 8 mos.The moral of the story is,,,,lol, I stuck my foot in my mouth because spring,summer and fall came and went and I missed out on my kids activities,hobbies lost about 25lbs etc.Think positive and make the best of the time you have now,Things will get better.

I think a lot of companies are responding to the pessimism in the market by making deep cuts. Although many are necessary, I think historically, a lot cut too deep in a knee jerk reaction. Hopefully that is the case this time around and companies begin to rehire in the upcoming months.

Things are hard all around, I've been off 8 months and my hall is saying maybe by the end of the year. I'm IBEW what union are you? I heard indiana had some work coming.
