since this is the only forum where i go that there's such a high concentration of asian brothers... i will ask youse...

when can i go to the store and buy a durian...¿ they told me in summer, but since i don't go to them stores at all, i want to know if you guys have seen them in stock all ready... i really want to try them... and other great fruits...

anyways... thx...

durian a great fruit...? the only thing worse than durian is kimchi!

I think it's winter in the southern hemisphere (where it grows mostly), so it isn't best time to buy right now.

wut...!

i just want to try it... after talking to some people that LOVE it, and some that hate it, i have to try it for myself...

I HAVE TO!!!...

i want to eat everything edible at least once... i used to go to those stores with my ex-girlfriend and would always see some crazy fruits and veggies, but don't know what they were or are... i loved going to mexico for that reason... the fruits and veggies over there are way different than american market produce...

"The edible flesh emits a distinctive odour, strong and penetrating even when the husk is intact. Some people regard the durian as fragrant; others find the aroma overpowering and offensive. The smell evokes reactions from deep appreciation to intense disgust. The odour has led to the fruit's banishment from certain hotels and public transportation in southeast Asia."

you can get them in most vietnamese grocery stores in Westminster and Garden Grove.
I don't eat them. I can and think they have a sweet scent though. I rather like Jack fruit. Somewhat similiar and easier on the nose. JMO :)
