I have been trying to set up an FTP site at my office and I just cant seem to get it working.
I am using bulletproof FTP as my server.
I have port forwarding set up on my router.
I believe I have Kaspersky Security Suite set up to allow traffic on port 21.
I have shut down Windows Firewall.

Can anyone give me a hand with this?

Thanks!

What's the error you are getting?
Did you enable FTP pass-through on your router/hub?
Are you able to PING that specific PC & Port from another computer LAN/Internet?

Error :request timed out"
I did set the router up to forward to my LAN address.
I tried to ping the WAN address from another computer thats not on my network.

It is possible that there is a firewall on a router in your office or at your ISP. If so, you will have to set up that router to allow traffic on that port. Do you have a local network in your office? Do you want to reach the FTP site from within that network or from outside?

I checked with SBC and "they do not block FTP traffic"
I have checked my router and made sure its built-in firewall has been disabled.
I do not have a local network in my office.
I have an associate in Canada that I need to share files with.

Did you get a "time out" error as well when you tried to ping it?
Is the ftp program running?

Did you try to ping your WAN as well as your LAN address?
What were the errors? If you have aim or another IM program I can try to help your through it through there as it will be faster to communicate.
