OT: Go Lakers!

Yeah i dont like luke starting either its okay its still early in the season....sure is scary though hope they get it together soon

wow... GREAT WIN! Best christmas present I've received so far.. YEAH!!!!!!!

That Gasol block in the end was INSANE!!!!! :eek2:

It sure was! On top of that Ariza's dunk! That hustle play where Ariza saves it and passes it to Sasha for the layup wasn't bad either :)

man good game but i'm we were sort of saved by all those boston unforced turnovers! hope we don't have to count on those the next time we play.

Nice list, Karl! Josh Powell is "that" guy, but he doesn't see the floor. Man, if we could combine Luke, Trevor and Radman into one player, we'd be set at the 3!!! I'd really consider a Marion for LO swap-don't think it'd hurt right now. LO is so inconsistant!!!

pau really came through. had me sweating for a moment. it seemed like the celtics were disinterested for 1/2 the game. i don't think it's going to be like that the next time we see them. champions are always a bit fat and lazy during the christmas game... i know we always were

When'd you get the feeling they were becoming disinterested? I never got that sense at all given the magnitude of the game.

1) It's a Christmas day game that the Celtics haven't been able to participate in for many years.
2) KG even said it himself that this was a playoff-type atmosphere so every team should've been giving it all
3) With Rondo and Ray going at it after one play seems to indicate frustration, which is not something you exhibit unless you're trying to really win.

I just want to make sure the Lakers' victory isn't discredited due to a lack of "interest" from the opponent.

The Boston Teabags are trying to downplay it saying that the loss was no biggie and that they didn't care. I'm ready for the next game in Boston!! L.A is gonna show them they're for real!!!

Yesterday's win was the BEST christmas gift ever!!!! :D well atleast this year

well, ray allen was crap all game long... he couldn't get it going and i didn't really see him trying to stay in the game when doc pulled him in the 4th. paul pierce didn't really make his presence felt other than the 3rd quarter. his overall numbers were good, but he definitely didn't get into that extra 'me vs him' gear against kobe. rondo took hits all game long and towards the end i don't think he wanted to even try taking it to the rack. leon powe wasn't even a blip on the radar... usually i'd expect at least 10 pts and 6-7 rebounds off the bench from him. other than a couple nice moves from tony allen, the bench was a total non-factor...
i saw 1 guy do more than he normally does and everyone else basically coasted. the celtics didn't show their usual poise and courage under fire. definitely give our lakers credit for pulling out what was a must win in their minds... i just don't think i saw anything close to resembling the celtics' best and the game was still very tight up until the very end. the final score doesn't represent how close the game really was. still, it's a win against boston and i'm very happy about it... but i wouldn't get too far ahead of ourselves. we still got work to do.

yeah but the way the celtics were playing was because of how we played them.....IMO what you were describing is true because the celtics couldn't play their game because the lakers are better this year. They just got out played by the lakers and couldn't get into their rhythm. I'm glad we won that game but i agree micro lakers still have a lot to do and ill be happy when we have Farmar back that will help a lot.
