Have you listened to the audio book for WWZ? It has some really incredible voice acting, (among the more interesting; Henry Rollins) when i heard it I was convinced they would eventually make it into a film. I am sooo very excited about this one.

I am loving this show. I've been following since it was a rumor. So glad the censors have been lax on them. The gore helps tell the story, and convey the emotional impact at times. very happy with this so far.

I just finished reading the comics that the tv show is based off of. It was great! to the point that I read the comics so much that when I went out in public I couldn't help but think about zombie infestation scenarios and how I would deal with it given my situation. So far, in the show, they have stuck pretty close to the comics. We will see how it plays out though because things get insanely crazy. I can't see how they will be able to show a lot of the stuff on TV. 95% of the conflict is not with the zombies but with other humans. The zombies become more of a deadly nuisance than anything else. The first two episodes only covered about the first two comics. There are 70 + in the series so if the show does well then it could go on for a long, long time.

I have been stuck in the habit of playing out zombie scenarios in public for years and years. Most of my friends are tired of going on road trips with me because all I see are zombie defendable way stations, some of them however enjoy it, so I will continue.

The Walking Dead makes me very happy, the show from what I have seen is very good. I do get very giddy when I get to see that kind of gore on T.V. I also hear that the show is doing well in the numbers area, which makes me very happy not just for the continuation of the show, but it illustrates how many people are aware of these type of incidents. This leads me to believe that if there were to be an outbreak of zombies there would be a larger group of survivors than I would have previously guessed.

Okay so I watched the first episode of Walking Dead and it was awesome. Great, another series that I am hooked on. Also I read Stephen King's "Cell". While it is certainly no Dark Tower, it still was pretty cool stuff. I have to say though, I think is weird that everyone wants to do a zombie book/movie/series without actually calling them zombies (28 Days, Cell, I am Legend). Kinda makes me wanna tell them that "it's okay to do a zombie movie, no you won't win any points for originality; just make sure that it doesn't totally suck."

I liked the idea of "smart" "zombies", but I don't know why I felt like the story just lacked something Kingish. I can't put my finger on it, but it just seemed different to me; anyways. Just my $.02. It is still King and I still enjoyed it.

They've yet to use the "Z" word in Walking Dead... just "walkers."

IMHO, the first episode was superior to the second. I'm amazed that they are allowing this level of gore on cable. "Guts" was a very appropriate title for #2.
