OT - Help our kids from killing eachother

We need some help.

Since we just moved here from Chicago, we had to leave behind our extra TV to lighten the moving load. It won't be down here until the grandparents come in Feb. Since being here, the two kids are ready to kill one another over who gets to watch what or play what video game.....and we are sick of hearing them argue.

Does anyone have a spare TV around that has the capacity to hook up a video game system to? We are only willing to spend like $40, so nothing fancy. An old 19" or 21" would be perfect. It just has to work. I will even trade some frags for it!!!

Please save their lives as I am prepared to feed them to the fish should one more arguement break out!!!

Post or PM if you can help.

Thanx

Having met the kids are you sure its the lack of the TV or you?? LOL Remember, I know where to find ya !!!!! CMAS bbq tomorrow!!!

I found the cure all for this when my kids were young. When they fight over what to watch, make them sit and hold hands and watch Sesame Street or some childs program. Won't take but one dose and they will find new amusement real fast lol.

ROFL!!!!

That works for any argueing occassion lol. I made em hold hands at the mall one time for argueing, and they never acted up in public again lol.

Ya gotta be creative if ya want some peace lol. They think it's fun and games to make you crazy getting on to them. It ain't so funny holding your brothers hand walking through the mall at 12 and 14 lol.

checked the tv's and one is for my daughter. this is her second tv and the other color is fading out. sorry for the late reply. hopefully your kids are not holding hands wathcing barney at this time. btw will you be making it to the meeting?

Thanks for the replies.

Still no luck. Tried craigslist and no real luck there.

Skinnyjoe, how bad is the color fading out? This does not have to last us long, just a few months. Also, when/where is the meeting? My work schedule is beyond hectic (80+ hours per week) so there is a good chance I can't make it, but will try.

Anyone else??

hey grog i just checked mine and the volume is not working.maybe some loose wire im gonna check it in a few.maybe u can come by and pick it up.

Or if they start fighting over the TV, just force them to read a book. I'm sure they'll really love that:).

Actually, they love to read. The problem is that they fight over the same books as well!!!

skinnyjoe, PM's sent.

MIKE, if things with skinnyjoe fall through, I'll give you a call.

Thanks again everyone!!

the 48" is in my bedroom. we have a 60" sony3lcd grand wega in the living room and my daughter has a 19" console in her playroom and a 13" in her room. the 19" that grog will get was for the sparebedroom but is nolonger needed due to the new one coming. tv is goooood. technology is our key to our daughter being smart. she is only allowed to watch show that teach and online she's only allow to play disney and noggin games. hooked on tv worked for me:lol:

You'll want to see Grog singing the song from Barney and wearing his purple Barney scrubs like he did here in Chicago. Made all the gang bangers at Cook County Hospital laugh as he sewed them up. lol
