OT: How about those Buckeyes

I am not going to sit here and say that I knew it all along. The Ducks made me very nervous about our chances.

The Bucks took a real step forward and I am more than glad about it.
Look for coach T to open things up a bit next season but not a ton. He will always be conservative and play close to the sweater vest LOL. Although, I was shocked by him going for it on fourth down. I was calling for the place kicker and almost fell off the sofa to see the regular O coming back on the field. I think that drive sucked a bunch of life out of the Ducks. to hold the ball for 6 min and run out the half was a major win. Of course the quick turnover from our very very much improved D was a dagger too!!

On a different note: it would not have mattered who was coaching the Bearcats, they got an old school pounding.

Dave I couldn't agree more with everything you just said. I've ripped on TP all year long but, except for a couple dumb plays, he finally looked like the guy we thhought we were getting last year. I think the coaching staff really worked with him during the break and it paid off BIG! The O line was incredible! They held blocks, opened holes and looked like a line of All Americans. Heacock called a great defensive game. And the D line showed that they are the BEST in the country. If only the Buckeyes had played this well earlier in the year. No doubt they would've beat the Condoms and the Boilermakers. We played well enough to play for the National Championship and have a real chance at pulling it out. I hope JT continues the aggressiveness next year. They gave me real hope for next year. O-H

Wow, I knew all along that TP was terrible. LOL. Let's all hop on the Pryor bandwagon, now.

I don't know much about any bandwagons, what I saw is what I called for and got with the Penn State game. A simple plan for TP to follow. Read one, two and sometimes three then toss it away or run.

do not force things that are tight or hang on to the ball too long. He still takes a few more sacks than he should but that is the nature of someone who can also shed a ton of would be tacklers

Look for Tress to open the season much the same way two reads and then run. Also look for a few more of the counters and lead plays

I was also hard on TP and Tress most of the year and they made a bug turn around against the Ducks. I really hope they continue this trend and open up that offense next year for TP, the Bucks will be a major force next year if they do. Way to go Bucks!!!!

I still think Pryor's handoffs/pitches/options looked very time consuming and sluggish. Not crisp and decisive. Same with some of the decision making back in the pocket. Stuff took way too long to develop quite a few times. But, I've thought that all year. Overall it was a stellar move forward though. Great team effort. Great win for the Buckeyes AND the Big Ten for sure. Looking forward to next year.

Pryor reminded me of what Troy Smith looked like after he started progressing. I guess that month of practice before the game finally got some things clicking. He still has a ways to go, but we FINALLY saw the improvements we've been waiting for.

Now if Posie would consistently catch the ball. ;)

I - O Go Bucks!!

I think most of above is true. Keep in mind that Pryor and Posie are both still young and are getting better. TP is an incredible athlete who is still learning to be a great QB. Posie has a good head and great hands, and will get better as he learns to be more comfortable on a college field where many other guys are as about as fast as he is.

Give them time, enjoy the game, but remember they are pretty much all a bunch of kids and it is only a kid's game (I know, Woody is rolling in his grave)

Well its all over until late August
all that is left is being force fed how great the SEC is and seeing Nick the D... 's ugly mug on sports center about how great it was to beat a McCoy less longhorn team

Anyway Stan you pretty much summed it all up as far as the Bucks are concerned.

I am a fan of the pro game and will watch the play offs but its not the same as the bowls or good league games at the college level

NowI can sit back and figure out who is coming out and who the Lions will draft with their first five pick once again LOL

So where do you think the Bucks will be pre-season?
I'm thinking #3.
Or is it too soon to start thinkng about that :lmao:

Not too soon for me LOL

I think somewhere in the Top five. The bowl game shut up a lot of people that seemed to dissappear after the big ten's decent showing this year. I wonder where the punk reporter from ESPN is that called the Big ten a mid west version of the mountain west and no team with a single loss should ever be ranked in the top 20.

Likely still trying to figure out how to make Cinnci and Idaho top five teams too.
