Anybody ever install their own hurricane windows?

I have over the last 2 weeks installed a 12' 3 panel sliding glass door, 3 53x50's, 1 36x50 and 1 28x50 still have a 5' sliding glass and a 25x25 bathroom to do.... god I hate concrete Booger's and extra dry hair from the dust... and oh the lower back pain.... I still have concrete/stucco work to do but......
saved me $3800 for installation and 300+ for the permit.... cost me 100 in tools 30 in concrete and 100 in tapcons.... and $5 in naproxin/advil
next year new front door and whole house genny

boy did I go through that. I replaced all my window with the home depot impact window since last year. there are alot of benifits beside the hurricane. Cooling house, sound, clean ect...

2500 for the 12' slider and boy is it heavy... but way better than the crap I used to have... once they are all concreted in should be quieter and cooler

due to the fact that my 6 windows and 2 sliders cost ~$6000 I needed to file a notice of commencement with broward county ~$25 and permit with deerfield $25 the hardest part was the old slider base plate was concrete cemented in place on 3/4 thick cement glue that needed to be ground down for the new door to fit... measure measure measure,,, get the sizes right is the most important thing...

I'm paying someone to install mine - 9 windows and 2 sliders. All are 2nd story windows, so I never considered DIY.
