How about the distance between lug nuts

Sounded good, but what about the different types of wheel hubs? 4, 5, 6, etc bolts? Those would all be different.

How about the diameter of spark plug threads? I've never worked on a car with anything other than a 5/8" spark plug socket...

Or perhaps the distance from the top of the piston at it's most compressed point to the end of the spark plug?

This is the answer that I hear on car talk- the holes on the liscense plate

When I lived in the Caribbean plate numbers were just painted on P1234 for example; I don't remember my Land Rover even having holes for a plate.

For another useless piece of information, P2 is West Indian for walking.
