OT: Judge Joe Brown doesn't like the wedding photographer

Well, it's hard to tell the quality of the photos based on the crispness of the video, that said a paid professional photographer who doesn't have at least a 2.8 lens, or a newer body with outstanding high-ISO performance (7D, 5D, 1D) or preferably both is playing with fire. A 350D with a 5.6 lens will not take professional quality shots in a dimly lit church, period. I'd be nervous with my 7D with a 5.6 lens and I'm not afraid to go to ISO1600 with it, and would even consider 3200.

I will say though, even though the shaved geico caveman was a moron. A lot of churches do not allow flash photography.

That's awesome. Who knew Judge Brown was a shutterbug. I guess the defendant didn't for one. I love that she doesn't even know what speed her lenses are, and I don't think she had any idea what he was talking about when he asked why they didn't have a 1 series camera. The sad part is, I think there are a lot of these hack photographers out there that are making business tough for legitimate wedding photographers, so I don't necessarily have a lot of sympathy for someone who hires a cut rate photographer and expects to get the same quality as a true professional.

Anyway, thanks for sharing that. I definitely had a good laugh.

Didn't know that Judge Joe Brown knew that much on photography :) I like the part where he's asked about the diffused light and the "photographer" looked so confused lol

The sad part is usually, customers doesn't know how to differenciate a real pro from a hack ... Some people uses download picture from real professionnal to advertive their work and it obviously seems so nice since it's done by a real pro but cannot deliver the same product obv.

That's what the bride gets for being cheap. Seriously, what does she expect for $1300? Weddings are very, VERY difficult event to shoot, and the fact that they're only charging $1300 should have been a red flag in the first place.

Also, The court session should have ended when she said "Wal-Mart". Wal-Mart for prints? Seriously?

The wedding photog's confrontational attitude didn't help either.

my brother just got married a couple months ago, the photographers took over 3000 pics both with a Cannon and Nikon and did an outstanding job these people are hacks, I took better photos at my bro's wedding with my camera and in my brothers case flash photography was allowed in the church

I gotta wonder, for a private service, would a church limit flash photography? It's not like the flash hurts anything.

It has to do more with how the church is, I guess because its considered a holy/sacred place in some sense maybe?

But yeah even so the pictures taken were laughable. Those pictures look like something I would take lol.

I am wondering what portfolio pics this lady saw to even consider the crack head lol.

Judge Joe Brown is a photographer!?
"Where is your 28-70? What happened to your 1 series?!"
"Evidently...we didn't have it." Bahahahaha

They were using an 18-55 and 70-300. WHAT?! Are you KIDDING me?!
