well I was a landscaper with my brother last year, but I forgot, throuhout my school year, my plant types.....I am wondering if anyone knows any good hardy, low light (shaded area) plants for landscaping. My girlfriends parents want her house to look good for our graduation parties in the next 2 weeks, so any help is wanted, I know hostas....I personally love them and talked them into it but they want some color to.....thanks

How big or small ?
That will narrow it down by a lot.

You can get some just about to bloom or blooming Day lillies or Iris. They can be left for next year or taken out after they are spent.

a max of about 3.5 to 4' so that you can see the hand rails on the front porch. those sound pretty good, any others and do you have any clue on a price or where to buy them at? I cant go to the store I use to, because Im not working for the company I was....thanks

if you're talking about colorful annuals than plant impatiens.
The love shade and are awesome. Plant them close togheter in a group and they will build on each other and get like 2 to 3 foot tall
