OT: Local Fishing

Hey guys,

With spring coming, and the weather turning nice, I'm looking at places to go fishing. I don't own a boat, so that's not an option, but does anyone know of any good places to find some bass or other game fish within a decent cast of the bank?

Back home we had strip pits from coal mining that KDNR kept stocked with bass and crappie, but I can't find that up here, haha!

If you buy chance can snag a canoe grab it. We usually put the boat in the river up in Leo by the dam and drift, fish until we get to shoaf park. Its literally an all day thing but its nice an relaxing. We usually catch quiet a few nice sized bass. At night we go catfishing and catch some monster catfish.
I dont know of any place (ponds and such) around fort wayne thats not private property.
