OT: Maple tree for free

I have a young (been in the ground here about 2 years) maple tree that I do not want. It stands about 10 feet tall.

If you want it,and can get it out of the ground, you can have it. (I will be happy to help you remove it.

If no one wants it, I am afraid that Sunday may be its last day enjoying the sun.

Here is a pic, taken 3 min ago...

lol...nope

those are Plumeria frags, smuggled off Maui 10 years ago while on my honeymoon :-)

They grow almost as slow as an acro :-P

Well they have gone from a single shoot 6" long 10 years ago to a couple branches and 3 feet tall.

In about 55 years I should be able to break off a branch and not tell :-)

These plants have been root bound in pots for their whole 10 years, only have been transplanted to larger pots 3 times. I am planting them in the ground this year, now that we have a real home with a real yard. I hope they start growing faster this year!

I just googled them,

those are beautiful plants. Let me know when you have some frags available. I've been looking to setup my garden for this summer...

Pedro has a huge tree in his front yard. I have 3 little ones but if you really want some I have a friend that they grow like crazy in her back yard. I cant ask her if you want. She has yellow and pink ones.

They actually grow pretty quick if you plant them in the ground. What colors do you have I have the white , and the red

Hey man we got married/honeymoon on Kaui and I smuggled a plumeria also. I have the thing planted in the front of my house and it's about 4"+ thick and sticks up past the gutters. It gets great looking yellow flowers when it blooms.

You have to be real careful they have a thin skin and freeze over very easily.

That's too ironic. I just took custody of my brother's Plumeria when he went out of state for work. He had it in a pot, and I put it in the ground.

I love tinkering in the yard when it's about 60 degrees out. :D

Unfortunately, I have no room for a large tree.

the plumeria is it cold hardy or do your have to take protective measures to keep it such as covering it with a blanket

you need to cover them if real cold... the larger they get the better they do. They "should" be covered when a freeze occurs.

They are "hardy" to 33

The are not cold hardy at all once it hits freezing. I lost two of them in the back of my house this year even though I covered them.
