I did my own mounting but check out monoprice.com for your wall mounts, hdmi cables, etc... Hellas cheap, great quality and the are on Rancho Cucamonga so shipping is like 2 days... I got the same wall mount for 60 bucks shipped that Best Buy wanted 2 bills for. Good luck.

Order a nice strong unit off eBay and just drill a hole in the wall behind the tv and drop the wires down, just make sure you find the studs, mounted my 55" myself and hasnt fallen yet. Lol

what size of a tv? if it's small/light, you might want to go DIY. also, while i love monoprice (80 dollars for a telescoping mount that was 600 at best buy), the bolts that come with the mounts aren't always great. i had one bolt break while i was tightening it. but luckily they give you extra bolts.

Yeah monoprice is great. I have installed 5 tv with there brackets. My living room Sony 52 inch. Room 32 inch. Kids room 42 inch. Parents 55 inch plasma. I just did another order yesterday before midnight and I had order today in the morning I was like wow.

thanks guys, i've actually already ordered everything i need, the tv is 55" so i don't really feel comfortable doing it myself lol. and if i screw up the wall, i'm dead :s.

so still look for a referral, but i look into it regardless, watched some videos on youtube already ;)

its super easy. i used to work for good guys and did custom installs on the side. just make sure you get the power relocation kit or move an outlet to behind the tv. just putting the power cable in the wall is a big NO NO

It's true don't put a plug. You can order the power relocator box. Then some romex cable. Make to holes in dry wall. Plug in black to black and white to white and greento green.
