OT: NBA Finals!

How do you think Utah got so good? Williams is the man but with no Boozer this team is not even in the playoffs. If you say not an all star in the west that is only because the big men now are gods!! Duncan, Dirk, KG, Amare. That group could keep any forward outside of Howard from making the western all star team. Boozer is a stud, and I base that on the fact that he is young and lead his team to the WESTERN finals. The West will be even rougher next year with Oden and Durant residing there while the East will be the whooping boys for Lebron. Your analysis is mediocre
Therefore you said it yourself. Go look at the dictionary!
Main Entry: me·di·o·cre
Pronunciation: "mE-dE-'O-k&r
Function: adjective
Etymology: Middle French, from Latin mediocris, from medius middle + Old Latin ocris stony mountain; akin to Latin acer sharp -- more at EDGE
: of moderate or low quality, value, ability, or performance : ORDINARY, SO-SO
C'mon now! So go to a mirror and laugh at yourself. Yes, in the east you can bring forward he is an all-star. But in the west where it is flooded by far more superior forwards, he is MEDIOCRE. He did not lead the team to the Finals, the system did. The team did. They all did their jobs, and outperformed their competition. With the Warriors, the refs had a little more involvement, but I will leave that to the officiating crew, and a different thread.
I do not want to induce a heated arguement with you, but I did want to put out my point.

If you get into a heated argument over basketball on a fish geek site it is time to get your head examined :D

Even so, Boozer is way above average. If you look at all the power forwards in the league he is top 10 easily... That puts him in the top 30%... That he means he is above average therefore, not mediocre. He is above "ordinary and so-so" I will laugh much more easily at your talking about how calls and not the Warriors own meltdown cost them the series. Just try and remain calm and respond to this without getting heated  There is a vast area between Basketball god and mediocre. If he is the 6th or 7th best PF in the league and is still young, he is far better than your definition of mediocre. It is nice to see that you looked up the definition of the word however as you seemed a bit confused :D!!

If you can't take the heat...get a chiller!!!

Okay, though we may have our own opionions as to what "ordinary" is (which I still claim Boozer is) I do not want to proceed with this conversation, as it's is definately a waste of my time, and I can no longer check due to increase in work flow! Nonetheless nice debating with you, and I will stick to my opinion Boozer is still mediocre IMO.

it's all opinions here, I don't think you guys are really arguing a point, just showing how you feel about a certain basketball player. =)

I just watched a youtube clip of Michael Jordan make 50 points in one game at age 38 on the wizards... I dunno about you, but everyone seems mediocre compared to that ;)

On a lighter note...

...Stan Van Gundy is slated to be the next Sacramento Kings coach. Yay!

A good argument is NEVER a waste of time :) I would hope we can banter opinions (especially sports opinions) all day and in the end still be friends. I love to argue and don't mind trading jabs as long as they are not personal attacks which these most certainly were not. Just because you were wrong does not make you a bad guy :P

Karl, I have seen Ron Jeremy "act" and he is by no means ORDINARY

LOL......

Too funny. I actually met Ron Jeremy at a concert at the Crest once! Freakin hilarious.

I'll take Stan over Mussleman any day......

BTW, love the new avatar Karl. Last time I went to Japan I saw Hokusai's whole collection on display in Tokyo. The Wave is by far my favorite :)
