Well, once they got the big lead they didn't seem as agressive as the beginning. Odom didn't see the ball as much and they could not box out. They went and pounded the ball early and got the bigs for the Celtics in foul trouble. They stopped doing that and started shooting jump shots, no rebounds, and missed free throws. Kobe didn't get enough looks early, and Turiaf was in the game at the wrong time. He should have been in the first half get warmed up and loose, rather than crunch time. He had to battle against players who were loose and had minutes, vs. him trying to get loose and match the intensity (bad on Jackson's part).
Doc started to foul and trade possesions. Since they were shooting bad on the line why not trade possesions for free throws right? Oh well, if the NBA is fixed then expect the LAKERS to win the next 3. I just like the product I am watching.
Pretty much sums it up right there. We did the same thing the Celtics did in game 3. Got comfortable with our lead and stopped being aggressive, stopped getting boards. By the time we figured out what was happening it was too late. We stopped making shots and got sloppy.
Keep in mind everyone said the same thing about the Red Sox right before they came back to win it all. It will certainly be tough. But I still will keep faith my squad can pull it out. Nothing is impossible!
