OT: NBA Playoffs

Well, once they got the big lead they didn't seem as agressive as the beginning. Odom didn't see the ball as much and they could not box out. They went and pounded the ball early and got the bigs for the Celtics in foul trouble. They stopped doing that and started shooting jump shots, no rebounds, and missed free throws. Kobe didn't get enough looks early, and Turiaf was in the game at the wrong time. He should have been in the first half get warmed up and loose, rather than crunch time. He had to battle against players who were loose and had minutes, vs. him trying to get loose and match the intensity (bad on Jackson's part).
Doc started to foul and trade possesions. Since they were shooting bad on the line why not trade possesions for free throws right? Oh well, if the NBA is fixed then expect the LAKERS to win the next 3. I just like the product I am watching.

Pretty much sums it up right there. We did the same thing the Celtics did in game 3. Got comfortable with our lead and stopped being aggressive, stopped getting boards. By the time we figured out what was happening it was too late. We stopped making shots and got sloppy.

Keep in mind everyone said the same thing about the Red Sox right before they came back to win it all. It will certainly be tough. But I still will keep faith my squad can pull it out. Nothing is impossible!

It's really not surprising at all. Odom and Gasol are notorious chokers.

I'm just glad that the Jordan comparisons have stopped. Love Kobe's game, but he shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath as MJ.

GOAT has never lost in The Finals.(note extra large period)

WIll be so sweet. But if Lakers happen to come back then the comparisions would get even stronger even though i agree its a joke to have them in the same sentence

You know what really makes me mad about watching the games in LA? It's not the teams, players, or refs, it's the people in the stands. I bet if you gave me along with 20-30 of my friends from here who are Lakers fans, we'd make 100x the amount of noise the the celebs are making by taking on the phone to their agents and PR people!!! But with the ticket prices as high as they are ($500 for nose bleed seats) there's no way REAL fans can get out there. I sure hope we can get back in this series. We're REALLY missing Bynum right now!!!

My friend you are stuck on the comparisions................let it go brutha. lol hahahaha IMO you can never compare 2 Athlete's from different era's. People that lived to see Wilt still say he is the GOAT!! Besides MJ had some of the best Role players to ever Don NBA gear! Those cats were fearless and could drop 3's like nickels into a slot machine!!!

Rob, it was nice to meet you today bud :)

Good luck on Sunday ;)

yes yes it was great to finally put a couples faces to the name!! One of these days I need to get "back on the scene" again and start collecting. The past year has been devoted to the shop but after I finish re doing my display at home "it's on'!!!!:D

I dont think its Karl doing the comparison its the media you always hear it.

Just liek when Dallas made finals they were comparing Dirk to Bird. That one made me sick to my stomach:)

I know, but everytime Karl post here he mentions it LOL hahaha

Media??? I don't pay attention to the media, they Always need something to talk about and when you run out of things to talk about you have to make up crap!! IMO they are all the "BEST" in there own ways!

Besides, I'm ready for football now even though every single team I hate has gotten better in the off season!!

Go SHARKS!

hahaha... Well hopefully Pau GOSOFT wakes up and starts dunking, because it's do or die from this point on. Just keep it going, because baseball is not fun until the playoffs begin.

You're probably right, Rob. Just bothers the **** outta me.

I like it when coaches stick with the players that are delivering at that moment. I was scratching my head when Saunders pulled Stuckey and Maxiell in Game 6 against the Celtics. They were the reason they got back. I found myself wondering what if Phil had left Ariza in there. He really should play a more prominent role in their rotation. He's exactly the type of player that every Championship Team must have out there.

I'm really excited for KG. I kinda hope that he puts up some big numbers the rest of the way, so he gets the Finals MVP. I really want to see him step up big.

Pierce? For what? I say Ray Allen. Str8 HOG! 48 minutes last night, didn't take it off, and really stepped it up this series. He started slow in the playoffs, but really did work during the finals. He also can shut Kobe down, took the last possesion, and avg. the same amount of points as Pierce.

I agree with Karl on this one. Garnett may have a bad game offensively but he always get's it done on the D and on the boards.

Lakers need more then a miracle they need a miracle and a Celtic collapse to even have a chance of winning.

That's the ESPN effect;)

You can replace Pierce's offense any given night. Without KG's defense and opening up their offense with his presence in the post, they'd be below .500.

Guys i will bet you whatever you want if the series ends sunday Pierce will be MVP. you guys talk a mean game now lets put something behind it.

Lakers are looking loose coming into tonight's game...

LOL! I love that Karl, where'd you find it? If the Lakers play the way they've played the last couple of games, this series is over. The only thing keeping them in right now is the injury bug that the Celtics have caught. Hopefully my boys can pull it off tonight. LET'S GO LAKERS!!!

GOOOO Green!
Yellow was never my flavorite color, nor purple. Wait, I do like purple, great for sterilizing things in my tank. =)
