OT: NBA Playoffs

What a Game 7 yesterday. Seems like Cleveland management is just giving James more reasons to bolt for New York once his contract's up.

Hope tonight's game is just as exciting.

It's going to be a good game tonight. Hopefully it's no blowout! The problem is Lebron reminded me of Kobe in the last quarter of the game. Trying to do too much and not distributing. Maybe it was the team, then again maybe he doesn't trust them like Kobe didn't trust his... Nonetheless GOOO DETROIT.

I agree, last night's game was pretty good, even though it was Lebron vs the Celtics! Tonight's game should be VERY good. I'm looking forward to it!

I'll let the thread die at the end of June;)

Spurs and Lakers will be a very tough series, however, Hornets and Lakers will be much more fun to watch.

I think the Spurs have the edge on Monday's Game 7, as it's a long layoff for the young Hornets. That's a lot of time to spend overthinking and building up those jitters.

I just can't imagine how much better the Spurs would be if they had kept Scola and Elson.

Maybe right, but I dont think so... I think if the Hornets were going to have jitters it would have been at the beginning when they knew they would have to play the Champs!!! They know they can beat them now... Like a drum at home!!!
I really hope they can get it done tonight, because I would hate to have to watch the Spurs and Lakers... I too think NO and LA would be more entertaining
I will be there tonight cheering them on, so go Hornets!!!

All the Hornets had to do was just play their game! The Spurs shoot below 40%, and had nearly 37% more turnovers than NO, and they still won.

The jitters really set in. I can't recall seeing more HORSE shots than tonight.

Can't wait until Wednesday!

I didnt see the game i am at work and working hard for the record:)

BUt i saw Peja's stats. That guy is so soft and such a choker. you put a tough defender on that guy and he is done.

Cant wait either. Bowen is physical and i know how hard it is to play with back problems it is down right brutal!

10-4 on the N. Dynamite, that makes more sense... What a game! That was the game I went to see... 4th row of the hornets goal (sideline)... Not the way I wanted it to turn out, but they give us some hope of a comeback right at the end... Blove_99 you are right about Peja... If they get someone else for the perimeter in the offseason, they are golden... Too much experience in the end

Congrats to the Spurs, and their old a**es!!!

Peja is garbage when it counts. He never has shown up in play-offs, and never will.

He'll avarage 30 pts per game during the season, then can't even find the rim come April-May!!

The Spurs are just built to win when it counts. Their players bring their A game when its most important.

I'm interested to see what Kobe and the Lakers can do, but I hope they get swept. The last thing we need is a bunch of Laker fans running around thinking they're god's gift to hoops again.....

Do you guys attribute Duncan's poor play (by his standards) more to Tyson Chandler's defense or just a bad series? I do agree that this is going to be a tough series for the Lake Show, but I still think they can pull it off. Odem is a freak! There is no one on the Spurs, or even in the NBA that can cover him one on one!!!

It was more like Paul Pierce vs Lebron James but ok.

Sorry all you Celtic fans, but its gonna be DEEEEEEETROIIIIIITTTT vs. LA in the Finals.

GO PISTONS........and RED WINGS

BOOOOO -YA

It did come down to King vs. Truth, but realistically, the Celts have more weapons to keep the defense honest. Unfortunately for him, Bron doesn't have that luxury.

The matchup I'm most intrigued by is Rasheed vs. Garnett. That's going to be a fun match-up, as Rasheed can hang with him, and maybe even cancel him out. He also possesses the willingness to take the big shot in the end. Something that always irked me about KG:mad:

I just simply can't remember a time when every series in the Playoffs was interesting. Stern must be loving it:D

I have loved the playoffs this year!!!

I do not think that anyone on the LAL will stop Duncan... Chandler was the only one besides Sheed (I think) that could do that good of a job... He will be unstoppable, and it will be up to Kobe to put the daggers into the Spurs (all by himself)

That Sheed vs Garnett matchup is going to be AMAZING! Both players play with the same killer intensity. I also agree about every series being great to watch. I don't think I've watched this much of the NBA playoffs ever!

I just wish they didnt have to play the spurs. They just dont quit and know when to buckle down. The drive and kick out passes are some of the most crisp ball movement in the league. However here it comes.....

YAWWWWWNNNNNNNNNNN (I think the spurs are the most boring team to watch, Except maybe the grizzlies JMO)
