OT: New Years Eve family event?

I am looking a family orient event for New Years Eve. (Remember - Sierra is only 13.) It could be in the Sacramento area or even in the bay area. Any suggestions? Links? If it involves a fireworks show - that would be awesome.

If I can't find a family oriented event, then I guess Stacy and I will just have to go out partying on our own while the girls get locked up in their room. ;-)

Thanks
Minh

Well if I do a fireworks show for new years Mihn, you will be invited, and YOU CAN EVEN LIGHT THEM with us!!!

We might be doing the show for Harrah's up in Reno..
I'll let ya know if we end up doing it..
:)

I was going to recommend Reno Minh. The fireworks are quite a show, but it is a total crowd scene.

There are some pretty incredible game rooms too. The laser tag room at The Grand Sierra is a pretty fun family event.

Thanks Everyone for your suggestion. I did some more searching and decided to do the Discovery Kingdom's (formerly Marine World) Holiday in the Park. The park is open on New Year's Eve from 4PM to midnight. Cost is $25 per person. However, I am going to get the season pass ($70) - which will include the Holiday in the park. Then on the 1st - I think I am going to take the family into SF's Chinatown or to Pier 39.

Now I just need to find a hotel in Vallejo. Any recommendation?

I've never felt the need to stay in Vallejo :D but I've always liked Best Western in any town.
