If the current road unis were awesome, I wouldn't care for this much. But since the current ones aren't that great anyhow, why not? The number on the helmet is crazy. (Then again, I also like Oregon's different-uniform-every-game thing.)

Why are we doing this?

The reason they are doing this is to make more money!!! The players don't get to keep their jerseys anymore and the school auctions off the jerseys for big bucks. So what would you pay for a pryor jersey for the Michigan game that is a one of a kind.

I like 'em, I like the change up for something big like the Michigan game. IMO, we need to keep making it a big deal, play up the rivalry, the tradition.
Sammie's right it about the $$, but more than auctioning them off, Nike knows that as soon as O-State whoops that arse again, those babies will fly off the shelves. The die hards will just have to have one.
