Other than our common bond of aquaria, I'm thought it might be interesting to share our other interests... what things (other than family) do you spend your time and money on.

Cars
I'm a life long car guy. I like anything with a internal combustion engine actually. My first car was a 1972 Chevelle. Now, I'm more into cars that can handle well. I own a WRX and constantly researching my next ride long before it is every time to get one. ;)
1972 Chevelle SS Clone (sold)
2001 Suzuki GSXR 600 (sold)
2004 Subaru Impreza WRX Wagon Current ride

Bicycling
I been a bicyclist for 10 years. I ride both road and mountain but these days I'm mostly on the road bike.
Iron Horse Mountain Bike
Litespeed Road Bike

My other hobby is a bigger money pit then my reef. Right now I only have a small bass boat and its broken at the moment. Hit a rock and twisted the drive shaft in two. I need to get working on it as spring will be here before I know it. I spend just about every weekend on the Kanawha or one of its tributary's. I also spend a lot of time on the small lakes here in WV. Here are some pic's with me, my dad, and my buddy Tommy.

I didn't realize there were muskie down here. I'm a transplant.

My hobbies: I am a runner. I am running a 1/2 marathon in May and hoping to get in my first full marathon within the next year. I haven't picked one, yet.

I used to like to do a little duck hunting, but ducks are harder to hunt down here than up on the Great Lakes where I grew up. There just aren't as many. Lots of geese, but geese taste like old tires.

I also read a lot and write a little. I would like to publish something before I die. Poem, short story, novel, I don't care.

Spinnerbayt,
I'm not a fisherman so I have no idea, is a Muskie primarily a game fish? Good to eat?

Kung,
That is great. I'm a runner but not when compared to the likes of you marathon guys. :)

I run several online community sites regarding gadgets. The oldest and the biggest one is 1SRC, a Palm OS enthusiast site, which has about 107,500 members, and been running for about 8 years now. Another big one is maemo.org, the official Nokia Internet Tablet community site, which has about 32,300 members and sponsored by Nokia.

I also do wedding photography, and help two of my professional photographer friends in Charleston and Huntington shoot weddings. I'm a Canon DSLR fan.

Yeah, the muskie is a game fish and you can eat them but I do not. I release 99% of everything I catch. If I want to eat something I will catch some of the DNR stocked trout or catch some Crappie.

My biggest hobby is powerlifting. I am currently ranked in the top 30 in the United States. Hoping to get in top 10 this year. My other hobby is riding my Polaris RZR S side by side. I never knew how much fun they were till I rode one, then I went and bought my own, they are a blast

basketball, riding motorcycles, jet ski's, water skiing, I also like to lift weights (I haven't in a while) and throw some frisbee with my dog.

Ranked #30, nice! How does that break down, in a certain organization, weight class, age? Even if your #30 for people named jmccown that would be impressive in my eyes! I joined the gym for the first time in my life Nov '08. It was pretty pathetic what I could lift. I only canceled my membership recently. Just no time to go with the baby, I do plan on joining back in the late fall however.

Is the dog in your Avatar yours?

Hey Carb, just stick with it man. Definately a good thing to get into. Really good for self-motivation. Actually I'm ranked like 27th within the NASA federation, which is the top drug free federation in the USA. My best bench press is 605 pounds and my deadlift is near the same. There are videos on youtube under srtredcharger which is my youtube username.

yeah that's my dog, he's a big baby, wouldn't trade him for anything not even my tank (it's a close call though) haha

Impressive weights to say the least. I won't post what I was benching :lmao:

We have a Boxer mix, just had to euthanize our other Boxer a few months ago. She was ~10 when we had to put her down but she had a really hard life before the Boxer rescue found her. So were certain that played a part in her lifespan. Our current boxer was 8 weeks when we got him from the rescue and he though the other was his mom. We're big Boxer fans.

Nice rides! I had a '72 Chevelle as my first car and daily driver. I had most of the parts to build a 427BB but ended up selling it before I got around to the engine. I always loved blown cars, a sound that isn't duplicated.

Here is my boxer. My daughter and I found her at the pound. She came into the pound weighting 32 lbs and we picked her about 3-4 days later. We just got really lucky. She's been with us since November and is a great dog. She runs with me on my shorter runs and LOVES it.

I think I am a boxer guy for life.

Here she is in the snow and one of her the first day we had her. She made me so sad to see her that skinny in her cage. We had to have her. I'm glad she worked out, because it was a very reckless and ill-considered. We had come just *this close* to adopting another one, got my daughter excited, and then they backed out. We were sad and went to the pound. I didn' really expect to find a boxer, but we did. Within an hour she was home with us. We got lucky because she's great.

Wow, she was way too thin. How much does she weight now?

Gracie was 35lbs when they found her but the rescue got her up to over 60lbs. The male mix we have is 65-70.

Kung your'e lucky to have boxers that size, my big boy is over 100 lbs.and thinks he's a chihuahua. Maybe we should have a boxer for our ARS logo, haha
