OT: Piranhas

I know this is a saltwater site but does anyone here know where I can buy adult red belly Piranhas? I just set up a tank for my 6 year old daughter and she has 3 of them so far and she wants to add 2-3 more. Thanks!

I would check Beldts they have a pretty big freshwater section. I don't venture into that section very often so I have no idea what all they have.

I could have sworn that I have seen them at Beldts. Like simmons797 I hardly venture into their fresh section. But a few months ago I did and there was some there. If they aren't at the time you go, I am positive they can order some and you can get them in their next shipment which is usually twice a week so they say. Also, there is that pets place store or something like that down the road from MS on 94 not really sure at all of their selection. Went there once looking for live foods but I know they have about 50 or so tanks with freshwater fish. It's closer so maybe try there or call first.

Beldts usually have them. If you come down south Tropical world pets always has some. They even have a 10" black piranha for sale.

At TWP they had a African tiger fish last time I was in their.

I called beldts and they only have baby ones. I called the pond place by MS and they dont have any

Monsterfish.com is a fresh water forum, perhaps you can buy them from a breeder online...

Hopefully you have large, long, wide tank for 6 of them... I know with age, they get a little meaner.

i agree with tropical world pets. they have a tank dedicated to them.
