OT place on the beach

Hey ... need AVAILABLE ideas for a place on the beach. We want to go somewhere for spring break between Arpil 1-8 (yeah, a lil late here) for 2-4 nights that is relatively close. Food, pool, beach! We are NOT looking to "get away from it all" but also would rather not be on crazy Clearwater Beach for spring break (though I could possible deal with that). Timeshare, apartment, hotel etc ... most anywhere on the Gulf Coast. Most places are booked and I'm hoping so of you locals might know more than EXPEDIA...DOT COM (while singing it).

Do a google search for "Vacation rentals" and "Anna Maria". They are actually a mgmt co that reps private owners. THere are lots of places around AM, Bradenton, and Longboat Key that might be a little more off the "party path". Hope you find somewhere great!
