OT R/C cars

Thanks for the B-Day wish! I just got married, so being in our mid 30's just makes us more secure and more tolerant I guess. I'm a lucky one. My wife and I are totally supportive in everything we do in our lives. She shops for clothes and jewelry, I buy toys! We both have our sports that we play and we share the dogs! She even makes more money than me some years, so that's also fun!

Luckily for me, she was totally supportive of the new in wall 90, so all the expenses for that are my B-Day present. I told her that I don't want to do anything special for my B-Day. I want to spend the entire day moving all my livestock and rocks into the new tank and that anyone can stop by for wings, pizza and drinks at any time.

To me, our tanks are like puppy dogs. How can anyone look at a beautiful tank and not appreciate the diverse beauty that exists on this planet. It's living art. I try to automate and reduce maintenance as much as possible. I also only keep 1 tank at a time and it's only a 90, so I don't spend too much time fiddling with the tank. Even when I had my 12g nano tank, when I was dating, if a girl didn't like my tank or the fact that I couldn't go to a stupid movie once in a while because I needed to do tank maintenance, well she wasn't for me. It's just like when people tell me that they don't like dogs. I just try to stay away from people like that, they aren't for me. Luckily, my wife names all the fish and corals with good names and she really cares about them and gets upset when they die. She does hate my 6 year old brittle star that is about 10" in diameter and his legs are always present. She calls him Darth Vader and resents him fiercely because she thinks he has killed her fish! I guess her minor involvement like that really helps her be supportive and I really appreciate that.

Another fun thing is when she goes shopping and comes home and says, "Honey, I think you should go to the fish store or order something online for our tank!" That's like when I get a new piece of equipment or buy some coral and I tell her that she might need to take a shopping trip with her friends soon!

So, as you can see... I'm really lucky! We'll have to see what happens once kids come into the picture and she asks me why do I get to do tank maintenance while she is changing diapers!!!!

I think now as were older they just got numb to our hobbies.
I know mine has. At least until she leaves me right.

by the way happy birthday in two days :celeb3:
