Excellent shots! Can I ask what setup you were using to take the pictures?? I really like the rhino shot the best out of the series. A couple shots appear a tad dark....was it overcast a little that day or was that something that happened in post processing? Maybe it's just my monitor???
I was using a Sony DSC-H1 and it was overcast for the earlier part of the day, then the sun started to peek out a bit. Thats why a few of them are a tad darker since my settings were still set for daylight shooting.
A quick pass through Photoshop's Levels (ctrl+L) toolbox should take care of that. Bump up the red channel, just a touch, then drop the blue just a touch. You'll accomplish a pretty decent post-production warming.
Thanks for the tip, I was going to mess around with a few of the photo's last night with PS but it was getting late. Here is one of them I lightened up a bit. Im still not 100% happy with it but oh well...
Looks a little contrasty. Did you use curves or levels? I've found curves to be a little less effective, depending on your goal. I opened it in PS myself, and first did Auto Levels (ctrl-shift-L). Then I opened Levels (ctrl-L) and bumped the RGB channel gamma up to 1.16, the Red channel to 1.04 and the blue channel to 0.90. I hope you don't mind. Sorry if I stepped on any toes.
