OT: Season MVP - Nash

I think Chris Kaman looks more like Tom petty than Nash.

Also, it is hard to give a mvp award to a player on a team that could not win 50 games. Not sure if that has ever happened before. If the Lakers won 50 games, then Kobe would probably get the MVP award.

Vic the Brick calls Chris Kaman "Tom Petty's Little Brother"...

Alot of the pollers say taht record plays a huge role in deciding who the MVP is. If that's the case, just give it to the best player on the best team then...but that's crap...Chauncey Billups is NOTHING without the rest of the guys on the Pistons.

MVP is most valuable player...chauncey isn't the most valuable piece to the Pistons compared to the most valuable player of other teams.

That's why my main criterion for choosing MVP is to ask yourself how the team would be without the guy? Take him off, and that will show you how VALUABLE he really is to the team. That's why I give it to Lebron or Kobe, cuz either team will win no more than 15 games without their respective star.

Hmmm, seems like the "selfish kid" has amazingly grown in this series.

After game 4, a few quotes -

Said Luke Walton: "An amazing player, but an even better leader. He makes us better. All game long, he made us better."

Said Smush Parker: "And then, in the end, he won it for us. Just like you knew he would win it for us."

"This is the first playoff series where Kobe Bryant is not searching for greatness, and what happens?

Greatness finds him." - Bill Plaschke

Kobe = MVP

Nash is great, but look at what Kobe's doing versus what Nash is doing. This series is great as we are watching them both at the same time.

Nash should be the MVP....
Nash= Team Player = MVP
Kobe= Selfish Player = MSP

Phoenix will bit the Lakers in six.
REALLY :rolleye1:

It's about time we see Kobe come to age! I've been waiting for himself to elevate his teammates like he's doing now and see how good things happen?? Scoring 81pts doesn't impress me like the way his team play has as of late has. He's finally trusting his teammates and as Plashke mentioned, greatness will find him!

Lakers are horrible, kobe gets the "jordan rules" but in NO WAY deserves it....he can't even carry michael's jock, so please save me from having to read that complete garbage!

Kobe deserved worse, like a cross to the mouth, for his elbows and whining like a little girl.

Go Suns Baby!

You act like we have Terrell Owens on our team. Where's the love?

Anyway...it has been accepted by many who are very close to the game (as in former players) that Kobe is better than MJ skillwise...the only difference is the players around them. Kobe has a bunch of stiffs, and MJ didn't start winning until he got the #2 player in the NBA (Pippen), and at that same time, MJ played alongside with the best role cast in the NBA...that spells victory. Give that same thing to Kobe, and that spells victory....but if you really love to hate Kobe, then nothing anybody says is going to change your mean soul.

H-O-W are the refs letting kobe get away with those elbows he's throwing...talk about unwarranted favoritism!
....oh, and can someone tell kobe to give mike back his fist pump, lol

....if amare was playing, it would have been a sweep for Phoenix

And your point is..........?

tell me something....for all you kobe lovers out there...
he is a great player, arguably the best in the league, but if he didnt have on a laker jersey would you guys still worship him like you do now?
mj in his prime>>>>kobe anytime in his carreer so far.
flame away

I'm a LAKERS fan...I'm just glad that we happen to have the best player in the league on our team. If we didn't, I'd wish we did.

And it's not so much worshipping that we do for Kobe, it's recognition of his amazing abilities, passion, will to win, all the things that the top 2 players in NBA history have (MJ and Kobe). I just can't understand why people just plain hate him, but they love Lebron. Why is that? Because Lebron is a team player? Because Lebron isn't a rapist? That's pretty much the excuse for 99% of Kobe haters. DON'T HATE THE PLAYER, HATE THE GAME (haha).

Just appreciate being able to watch one of the best players we will ever see, and quit trying to fight it.
