Your insurance may not cover him since he is not on your policy. When mean YOU can be held responsible. OUT OF YOUR WALLET!!. Just went thru that 4 years ago. Still fighting insurance company and lawyers. A girl who did not have a liscence, bought a car from a friend, she was 17, he was 22. Girl ran a stop light, (Had to check out the super hot guy in the van next to her), and ended up t-boning me. took my car clear over to the other side of the intersection. and flipped the car over on its side. I was out of work for 9 months. Lost a lot of $$$. My car was totalled. And 4 years later. She is driving around in a brand new car like nothing ever happened. The 22 guy is AWOL. And his insurance company says, They do not have to pay for an unauthorized driver. Just don't do it.
