OT: Something new for me

I have been curious for sometime now with dart frogs/poison arrow frogs. I was fascinated when I went to Dan Conner's house...spent more time looking at his vivarium then his reef tank.

A fishy person I know is moving to CA and didn't want to stress out his dart frogs with the long trip.

I will be getting his pair of these blue dart frogs in a few weeks...I would like to do some reading and research first. Between the rotifers and greenwater I get to now do Drosophila hydei flies.

I'm so excited that I'm getting a male and female....since these particular frogs are on the CITES list I am planning on trying to raise some.

Anybody here a herp. fancier?

I was sent this photo of my future frog....

Sweet. Linda i uset to be big into herpetology when i was in High School, had Multiple snake, Jackson Chameleons, Bearded Dragons, and now just a leopard Gecko. I always admired Poison dart frogs, when you do get it, i would like to take some pictures, i think it would be a good photo opp. I always wante to get a red eye tree frog, but never got around to it.

Linda,

that is too interesting! Every time I talk to Dan about his frogs, I get this: hmm, that would be a great idea! kind of feeling. I don't think I will get them, but, I think it great and wish you luck with them!
