OT: State Parks with Cabins

Hi,

Trying to plan a few short trips to the Great Lakes with the family. We were thinking of getting a camping cabin in one of the state parks on either Lake Erie or Lake Ontario.
Mostly for relaxing, swimming, boat rental.

Any suggestions on a not so grouded place for a few night during the week in July or August.

I used to go to fairhaven beach state park when i was younger.

on the way up there is Herkimer. LOVE IT THERE. best part is the Diamond mine where you can pound rocks all day (great stress relief) and come home with gorgeous crystals. the river runs right along the cabins...they are very, very nice! Howe Caverns is about 20mins from there.
