OT - Stay off the Roads!!!

Ok - I just want everyone to have fair warning... pass it along to your loved ones...

I officially have to drive with my left foot for the next 3 weeks because of this air cast on my right foot from my surgery. I have been out practicing twice now - but let's face it - I'm a woman driver to begin with and now I'm loose on the roads driving with my left foot...

Don't say I didn't warn you!

(PS - Is driving with your left foot illegal? )

I really don't think driving with your left foot is illegal, but, I could be wrong. How could they prove it anyway? Oh,,, right... there's a huge cast on the right foot.

Illegal? I doubt it.

I always pilot my two ton killing machine left footed. :D

Let er rip.

PS - It has nothing to do with being a woman. It's mostly keeping your brain focused on the task at hand... Is that an oxymoron?

Good! Glad to hear I probably won't be breaking the law...

Should I ask what a two ton killing machine is? Or do I not want to know?!

Well - my surgeon said I could drive with my left foot as long as I didn't tell him about it!? :)

Q: Should I ask what a two ton killing machine is? Or do I not want to know?!

A: The vehicle you plan to operate with your left foot...

:)

 Oh!

So you always drive left footed? Alrighty then! I've practiced twice now - so I guess I'm good to go! Just don't say you weren't all fairly warned...

HA!! Don't be - I actually live in Fairview Heights too! I put St. Louis on there when I first found Reef Central - before I found the local forum... Now I need to change it!

Although sometime soon I'll hopefully be moving to Columbia, IL...

Yes I do always use my left foot... for the clutch.

My first comment was a bit of sarcasm.

As for fair warning... Thank goodness for seat belts and airbags.

I knew you were going to say that! I use to drive a stick and love it... miss it... Oh well - it's good I don't have one now or I wouldn't be able to drive at all!

You get used to it pretty quick.
I drove left footed for 4ish months in high school with a cast on my right leg.
but I had a minivan with no console. So I sat kinds sideways with my useless right leg out of the way. If you drive a car, he worst thing is your leg is in the way..

Yeah - I have a pacifica - but it has a huge center console... That's my biggest problem that I have to kind of step over my right foot to hit the gas...

I thought all woman drove with their left foot?

Just kidding.

That's what I was getting at with the warning.. I'm a horrible drive to start with!

It's alright... I'm on my 2nd day of driving to work - yesterday I made it from 7 to about 1:30 before I was in just too much pain. I'm hoping to make it longer today.
