so when I paid the bill (the account is under my name) the payment somehow did not get posted on the ledger by fault of the customer care representative. (which also cost an additional fee of nearly 2 dollars)

I don't know what to say about this one......2 dollars is 2 dollars.

I wish charter would be bought out by timewarner! [/B]

Carefull with what you wish for. I thought Adelphia was bad. They got bought out by Time Warner and their customer service is way below than what Adephia provided.

2 dollars is something i did not have to spend if i used another method of paying. the point is i paid 2 dollars for the convenience of finding out whats going on with my account and paying thru telephone by the customer rep. i ended up with much more woes by him screwing things up.

I was not stupid enough to use charter internet, just cable. The cable always goes out and and the on demand feature works about every other day. The cable boxes themselves must be replaced every year as they begin to fail. I just bought a 50inch plasma HDTV and I cant get an HD box because they have been out of boxes for months. THen the only boxes they do have (when they have them in stock) is this POS moxi garbage that does not have an off button and it sounds like 10 computers running in your room at the same time. If you can get through to their customer service, they all just lie and every person will tell you a different BS story.

I would get SAT, but the fiancee loves the problematic on demand feature.

DOWN WITH CHARTER!

$2 dollars to talk to someone who can't even help? That's some serious "tonge" / bs. EZ... just keep calling them and yell at some ppl.. at least if they can't solve the issue right away.. you can vent. I had to do it 5 times in a row to finally be resolved by someone who knew what they were doing. Just keep bugging them. I swear they have a toll free number for this.. I'll check my bills and forward it to you when i find it.

yeah i hated the transition period where i watched channel after channel drop from the on demand line up. then i noticed the channels would freeze and pixellate up at the most convenient times. Then i noticed customer service is probably the worst ive had to deal with.

then...they put up every single episode of the wire that was ever made on demand...which was great! and i was really happy until i found out haf of the episodes didnt work and then the other half got pulled down after a week.
