OT: Where you do get your car detailed?

Unarce

Unshackled
Just looking for suggestions;)

Also, what would you suggest for protection against water stains (including the glass)? Elk Grove has very hard water, and my sprinklers spray everything :(

I usually take my cars once a year to Pavillion's on Fulton Blvd for a full detail job. I've heard good things about BUBBLE's in EG, but never used them personally.

If you have water spots on your glass and just want to get rid of those, Home Depot sells this yellow container for $8 that removes it in minutes. Its made for showers, but works on any glass. I actually have more than 1/2 a bottle left if you need and am in EG.

Hope that helps!

I take both my clk 55 amg and my escalade to Wills details the guy is off the hook when it comes to cleaning and detailing cars warning he is slow but worth the wait both cars cost me $250 to have clean and a full detail believe it or not thats cheap and the spots he will wax as part of the detail with a water and spot protector

Thanks for the feedback, guys!

Does a good coat of wax and some RainX treatment offer good protection from water stains, or should I spring for that Dupont stuff that dealerships offer?

ummm adjust the sprinklers, they should be watering the lawn and not the car. Mine took awhile but got'em dialed in, no more water stains on my truck. p.s. I turned em off for winter about 2 weeks ago.

Thanks, Warren!

casalt - I'll try that. Some of them point pretty high, so it sprays everywhere on breezy days. Is the adjustment difficult?

You say that you are in Elk Grove , I would bring your car down to mr bubbles next to chic filet across from in and out burger on laguna. They may have a good detailer there that can check your water spots out.

When I used to detail cars I would use white vineger and a claybar. It works well and gets all the contaminants off your cars paint including industrial fallout.

Just remember to put a coat of your favorite wax over it to seal and protect you paint for the future.

I personally use p21s or Zaino on my vehicles... depending on what paint is on the car whether it being german or japanese or domestic.

If their pop ups , their is a small screw in the middle for adj. plus you can change the head size. Turn your timer off for the rest of winter also, even in summer I water 5min everyother day just before dawn . Most people water too much, if its on the sidewalk or driveway then it's too much , the system can be turned down. check out rainbirds website lots of imfo for homeowners.
