If you enjoy fishing and catching big, and I mean BIG fish, PV is definitely the place to be. Many of you who fish are probably members of other fishing related websites so you might have seen my posts.

Anyways, if you guys are looking for a chance of a lifetime to catch big fish, PM me and I can hook you up with some great fishing trip deals down to Puerto Vallarta.

Based on 2 days of fishing, 3 nights condo, 3 guys per boat, you can get a chance at a tropy fish for $1200-1300 including air condo and fishing. Spots are filling up fast for our Oct 19-22 , 2006 trip.

PM me for more details.

That's a great deal!!!

I rented a boat in hawaii for almost that price and that was only for 1 day, boat only.

fish-fantik... it would be up to you... but I could set you up with your own room...you definitely would want to share the boat though, otherwise it gets wayyyyy more expensive.

I have always wanted to go deep sea fishing and I doubt it would get any cheaper than this with airfare.

The only thing is I know I will have school during that time.

Julie, try the san diego - mexico thing first to get a taste for deep sea fishing - it's not for everyone. The package above would be great for a mini vacation though.

Also big fishes is great, but after about 30 minutes, you get tired (really really tired) and then it's about another 60 minutes more to pull them up. I think 40-60lbs is a good range for fun factor.

Sounds like a great deal but I have way to many trips lined up right now. PV has some of the best YFT fishing in the world, everybody I know that goes there gets a 200+ YFT.

While it is true that a big fish can take that long, the gear we use allows us to bring even 150-180lb fish into the boat in 15-30mins... and the fight goes faster than u think.

We usually fish 17 miles out, but sometimes go out to around 35....ocean is usually not rough at all, and lots of life..birds, dolphins, whales...its a beautiful site...this trip is built around a weekend, so school shouldnt be a prob ifu can miss a day or two.

if you ahve not gotten a taste yet, jump on a charter out to catalina and go for bass and barracuda. you can do a 1/2 or 3/4 day trip and its pretty darn fun. the cost runs around 40-60bucks.

wilafur, once the summer heats up, they'll run tuna out there some days too. Pretty rare for boat to do bass and barracuda (unless you do lots of casting and reeling for the barracudas) :)

back on topic here....lets not compare catalina fishing to the trip I am describing....I have done both, they are in different leagues..

Dont forget Puerto Vallarta is a vacation too... check out these condos.... www.punta-vista.com to see the Punta de Mita area where you would be staying and fishing form..very cool place and a celebrity destination ....

i dunno about the rarity of boats going for bass nad barracuda. everytime i go out, i catch at least a handful of each. then again, we were trying for tuna but were skunked. ;)
