Other acrylic mounting ideas?

Thanks for all your help, I spoke with you yesterday on the phone about model choice for our new 120 (4ââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢x2ââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢x2ââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢). I am now on the waiting list at MarineDepot for 2 6000ââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s and the multi-controller.

We are trying to figure out how to mount the pumps on our acrylic tank. One of our options is to drill holes through the top of the tank and use the optional horizontal mounting brackets (like photobarryââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s post).

What about drilling through the back of the tank and using the included screw? What size hole would I need to drill to fit the screw? What is the minimum distance from the top to drill the hole so that the bracket fits? Sorry for all the questions, but the tank will be set up before I get the Streams and need to drill the holes before I ever see the brackets.

I would go with a 3/16" hole. Apply a bit of silicon and use the screw and nut that are included. The hole would have to be 1/4" below the top. Perhaps you can attach it to the overflow?
