Other Hobbies

Those used to scare the crap out of me as a kid, but they're so cool.

I'm torn to think I'd want one in my living room, but maybe.

I play in SCA .... kind of scary but meh it lets me play with sharp stuff too.

It's recreating the middle ages, you can be all out and hand sew your clothing or slightly more laid back and do the basics. I get to throw knives, axes, spears, shoot a longbow and recurve (with no sights, clickers etc). We try to use equipment that is in period with our chosen persona. I also make all of my own arrows and make many for other people, all wood with real feathers etc. Spears are another home made item and eventually I'll try my hand at an English war bow too.

We get to camp out at events, enjoy a few drinks around the campfire, take part in things ranging from calligraphy and illumination all the way to making trebuchet's and siege engines.

This year I want to try crossbow, atlatl and maybe even get into rattan heavy fighting.

wow there is such a diverse group here ! some really cool stuff. i'm also in the middle of getting my scuba certification, have built 2 hotrods, and working on building huge elaborate thomas the train layouts for my son(lol) which isnt really that easy ! but i found thata between airbrushing, saltwater tank, spending time with my son having fun,hot rodding around and scuba diving........one of 2 things will happen........either i will run out of time or run out of money to do all these things i love doing. if have to give it all up to spend more time with my son then so be it !:celeb1:

i have gone throught the training course at the aquatic center next to the dome arena, and i must say i LOVED IT!!!! my mother and step father are both scuba certified. my step father has gone the extra mile and is certified in special air or something and can go down extra deep, sorry dont know the details. but lucky them they are in mexico right now diving :-( they go diving like every 3-4 months

Used to spend a lot of time on closed tracks with sport bikes. The long drives led to a short term retirement, hope to get back out there if we ever move closer to a track!

We have a talented bunch people here. As much as I like hobbies and activities I pretty much failed at all but aquariums. Played guitar, wrote short stories and poetry, wasted time on many other things and was always pretty terrible at most. Used to love traveling around the world but with work and family those days are over. Never really enjoyed scuba diving just felt I had to do it to study the oceans and reefs. I guess aquaria as a hobby keeps me busy and interested enough.

All of this stuff is so cool! Indeed there are very talented people here!

As for myself, I play piano and I do art (drawing, painting). I am also Invoved in tennis, as well as an elite cheer team.

You should, its a very cool piece with a nice light effects. By the way nice rifle,
I would not mind owning a couple of those

I do a little drawing/painting and sculpting, trying to learn airbrushing(would love to learn tattooing)and have been getting better but now have to give my "brush" an overhaul(new seals).Used to collect comicbooks but now I dump most of my "spare" money into my tanks.Oh yea and I collect art done by serial killers(i'd like to branch out and start getting some art from famous people but they arn't as easy to pin down as a convict).

Nice rifle! A nice rifle is next on my firearms list. I enjoy shooting my pistols too.

Thanks, Its been a lot of fun to build and modify. Unfortunately, I need to buy a car today so it's going to be sitting in the safe for a while :sad2:.

I have too many hobbies and not enough money/time for all of them, and I just got engaged and I decided that my jetski obsession had to go first.

Here's how I got it:
