How many of you guys and galls have other hobbies that drain your pockets?
I for one am going through my mid life crisis and am working out more than ever, trying to get that last testasterone surge:p So I spend $ on protein powders ,vitamins,suplements,ect.ect.That stuff is not cheap.my wife is always complaining because she finds things hidden everywhere,I gots to keep up with the young bucks.I've been doing it for more than 23yrs or so.
Fishing is another one,and for all that do it know all the stuff like rods ,reels ect are also expensive.
I dont even want to get into any details, but FW fish have been my passion since I was 3,my godmother got me my first fish tank with zebra danios, and that was it I was hooked.
Now I fell in love with SW fish and reef set ups about 12 yrs ago,and I dont think I need to go any further, you guys know what time it is
:D

i used to be into powerlifting/weightlifting going to all the competions and the arnold classics down in columbus. i meet him down there he is a real nice guy its lou ferrigno thats a real jerk. well i bought alot of equipment and weights totaling about 7500 dollars. dont even get me started on the special shoes that i bought the belts i went through supplements drinks and fees to many gyms. i think im still paying for my days of weightlifting with all my health problems which forced me to get out of that and into the drowning of worms and saltwater fish. which come to find out will get just as expensive if i get what i want. when im in need of money and get the nerve up i sell off some equipment or plates to feed my addiction/hobby for saltwater fish, already sold over 2500 in weights.

Cashed in all other hobbies. Used to keep snakes but it was too much time/money to have a foot in two hobbies.

Just slowwly getting back in to weightlifting. Was doing really well until I was diagnosed with osteonecrosis in both shoulders. Since my last surgery, I have really gained weight (not the good kind).

I've been lifting free weights for 25 years now myself. In my hey day I benched 315 weighing 148 (no, no roids). Now My goal is just to keep my chest in front of my stomach.

Used to spend money on some supplements until I figured out they took small truths and blew them out of proportion. That was more than 15 years ago though. Now it's just protein powder every now and again.

I used to have a substantial 1/24 scale NASCAR collection consisting of Earnhardt Sr, Earnhardt Jr, and Gordon. Then they startig over producing (same way they killed baseball cards) and even re-popping items killing any value that made it worth while to participate in the hobby for, so I sold most everything about 5 years ago.

I'm too lazy to work out although god knows I could use it.... I have a boat. It's just a small bay boat but man can they add up quick. I also have a 13 month old great dane that seems to eat more than a horse and because of his size everything costs double 180.00 for freakin heartworm and 100 for flea and tick every six months... $600.00 to get him fixed.. I think It would be cheaper just to get the NFL ticket and drink myself silly on the couch.

boating, snowmobiling and skiing thank god i have a buddy whos a fanatic and keeps 2 sleds on hand so he can have someone to ride with. He just spent 20k on 2 yamaha attacks, but i need a new pair of boots and boards and the pair i want are around $1500 not to mention 50 for a lift ticket and 6 bucks a beer. Oh ya and the 12 hour drives to killington or the $400 flight out west i wont ski around here anymore

Forgot about my three dogs. I guess I never really considered them a hobby. I love dogs though. I'll post some pics here in a few.

Golfing 50-60 rounds a year and at least one ski trip out west a year along with my tank keeps my pockets from getting to full that's for sure.

I fab things and build mini trucks. Lets me relax and forget about the stresses of reef keeping lol.

Nice truck, I can appreciate all the work and fabrication that must have went into that and the future work still to come. I am into restoring and playing with my antique John Deere tractors. I only have two right now. One i just finished a couple of months ago it is a 1954 Model 70 and a i have a 1951 Model G on blocks in progress in my garage. They are big cubic inch GAS HOGS. I also built a big trailer BBQ pit. I love to cook on that thing, also eat what I cook. LOL
