So the wife spotted one of these a while back and wanted one...so here's a pic of our start at an AIO.

Looks cool. I tried an AIO before but never really got it off the ground. My wife is making noise like she wants one in the baby's room. Imagine that. Wife WANTS another tank! Love to do something simple like that.

You have any extras or mods on that guy?

Thx folks!

Yep! Swapped out stock return pump for a MJ900.

Took out false floor in chamber 1 and 2.

Cut out tab for more flow between chmbr 1 and 2.

Added a Hydor Flo to MJ900

Added a Koralia Nano

Installed a StevieT media rack to 2nd chmbr. It holds Chemi Pure Elite on bottom, middle has chaeto and submers. light, and in the top is filter floss.

Had to cut a cpl slots to accommodate 453 Stunner strip.

That's it for now!

Nice !!

My wife got me a 14G BioCube for me for Valentines day, since she knows I miss my 180 I had a couple years back.

I'm trying to find out what people are using for substrate in their nanos; and how much I should put in. I see the intake slots are bout 2 3/4" off the bottom, so I'm thinking no more than 1 1/2" of LS.

What type and how much LR did you use ?

Looks like I may have to take a trip to see Tom at the Reef Shoppe, I haven't been there in over 2 years.

Thx...

We used crushed coral, and only put enough to keep below the bottom tank trim. We have about 10lbs of LR that we got from ABC Pets in Fairport. It's a variety of rock type. We typically gravitate towards super porous stuff.
