What are the triangular things?

Those are diatoms. There's two kinds seen above. There's several shapes they can come in but they will have a silica exterior and are photosynthetic with that brownish look to them.

Just wait until you get a load of aiptasia up close with some scrapping from the side of the sump. Holy cow this is cool.

This answers some questions I've had on some of the things in the past. An absolutely amazing creature.

I used a concave slide for this one as the body was thick.

So back in March I found this strange "thing" from a sample of detritus off the rocks in my sump

Note the clear "feelers" on the bottom there

Just after 3 minutes is also interesting to see what it's doing with those and relating to some things I saw last night.
