Outer Orbit T5 bulbs out

Only 2 months old and 1 bank of lights is out. This is the 4 T5, 2 250 watt halide set-up. Current says ship it back to the retailer!! Great I live in Mass and the retailer is in Cali. Can't do it.

Anyone know where to get replacements for this fixture. Besides Current that is???

Tropic Isle in Framingham, Ma will have some T5 bulbs. If your looking for the Giesemann T5 bulbs, you can get them at the Aquarium Gallery right across the border in Hudson, NH.

I cant help you on where to get your replacements but Current Usa changed their warranty policy. I bought a 48" Sunpod about a year ago and had a problem with only one of the lamps turning on at power up. They sent me a couple of lamps without questions. Now a bank of led's is acting up and they want me to go back to my retailer or fax them an invoice. I bought it off Ebay, good luck.

It stays with the ballast, so I need a new ballast. Looks like when I get the chance I will open up the fixture and see if an advance ballast will fit. I did register the fixture and have a copy of my paymen also.

Had the same problem....ordered a ballast from custom aquatics................15 minute installation. Current also sent a replacement which i'm keeping as spare...2 months later.so far so good.

Do you have the part numer of the ballast?

This fixture is the 4' 2 250 HQI and 4 T5. Guessing there are 2 ballasts for the T5?

that appears to be a ballast for a 3 foot bulb? Is that the fixture you have, a 3'?

Yes it is for the 3 foot as I have the 72 inch mh-t5 ut it works foa 39 watt or i believe 54 watt.rick

I have the outer Orbit and when you get your issues fix consider using the (2) or (4,like me) Giesemann Pure Actinic+ T5's. It has mad such a difffrence in my tank I think you will like

Well I ordered an acustart ballast. Hopefully it fits in the fixture?
