output manifold

I'll be switching out my return pump to an Reeflo Dart and wanted to see how people are splitting up the outputs. I was thinking the manifold would be 1.5" pipe with multiple "T"s for the main tank returns, chiller, fuge, UV, aux, etc...

The problem is I wanted to make it as clean as possible, but at the same time serviceable (unions, ball/gate valves).

If you have any pics that would be great...or info on smaller form factor valves and unions.

thanks!

ElDiablo, thanks for the link!

I looked at the stuff real quick and figured it would be cheaper to just glue up your own, but the prices are awesome and the array of manifolds is incredible.

Click my little red house and that's how I did mine, works great and if need to I can still add another outlet for say a chiller which is in the works :D

Is your overflow going to be able to handle the 3000gph a dart will be returning to the tank. Why not add the dart as a closed loop and leave the return as is?

I helped a buddy made a manifold for his CL just out of 2" crosses and 1" reducer bushings. That flexpvc site's 672-4550 2 inch by 6(1 inch ports) would have worked for us much cheaper had we known about them. The fittings add up and the time to glue it properly does as well. I'd go with a premade manifold if I could find one that worked well for what I was trying to accomplish.

Good luck.

i haven't calculated, but minus headloss, water diverted to chiller, UV, fuge etc I should be okay...if any minor adjustments need to be made I can just valve the return output down.

I don't need CL anymore, I am going FOWLR...I am also looking for a quieter and more efficient pump.
