Would it be overkill if i wanted to get a k-2 viper 150 watt hqi for my nano tank? It comes to 12.5 watts per gallon. I think it is overkill but is it really? Or should i just keep the 48 watts of pc on it which comes out to be 4 watts per gallon.
Well i thought it would be best for my rbta, or will it be fine under the 48 watts w/o the upgrade. I think it will be fine but i dont really know plus i like the shimmering effect the halides give off.
Ignoring the lighting, the 12 gallon nano is a bad idea for a RBTA. The 30 gallon nano with a 150 watt halide would be great for one though. They can grow up to 12" normally in an aquarium, so I wouldn't even try the 12 gallon.
Well its a little to late, i allready have one in the 12 gallon. I might just sell the tank and go ahead and transfer the stuff in the 12 and put it in the 30 or i might get a cube custom made.

I have the Viper 150watt on my 12 gallon nano cube. I can not keep Bubble tips because the lighting is to intense. I have killed two of them. The only one that has worked for me is a Elec. Green Carpet.
I can get you pictures of what it will do to the bubbletips. I have my bubble tip the week before I added the halide and the week after..... Let me know if ur interested.
I would love to see the pics. Not that i am excited to see a dead anemone just that i want them as a reference if you know what i mean. Thanks i appreciate it.
