i recently upgraded the lighting on my 55 from a 265w cf fixture to a 2x250 mh fixture, and although my zoos have been doing great any mushrooms and kenya trees have been looking contracted and discolored. so my question is can i overlight corals and if so which ones. please help me out. btw i have been shading the tank so my sps corals dont bleach .

thanks

Yeah, those guys like lower light levels. Is there a shady area in the tank that you can move them to? IME, mushrooms and ricordea will move on their own if they are either in a too much light or a too little llight area. I have a ric that's on the move nwo out from under a monti cap. It's moved about 2" or so over the past couple of weeks.

 on the shading to acclimate the tank. I replaced my 250w mh bulb a couple of months ago and burned my tyree le cyphastraea.
