he all...

on my 8 ft 350 tank...

i would like to have the top of the teeth on the overflow 1 inch below euro brace...i figure water level will be about 1/2 inch below that so total about 1.5" from euro brace...

the builder normally does 1.5" below for top of teeth..

i am worried 1.5" may appear to low on the water level...

whats everyones thoughts?

mine are only about 1/2" below the brace. i think that is to close. i have to use a butter knife to clean the junk out of the teeth as they get plugged with algea and corraline. also the box itself gets all kinds of stuff growing in it so i have to clean that occasionally. i'd go for the 1.5", so you have more access. then just adjust your cabinet accordingly...... assuming you are going to have one.

good luck!!

i was thinking 1" which would give running water level of 1.5"

i dont want to drop too much and have big empty top area since i am open top...
