Overflow in 180g - where would u position it?

I am planning my 180g starphire upgrade and i have decided to go with one overflow box.

I have narrowed the placement down to two possible spots - center of the tank OR 12" from the left side.

I know that i want to hide the overflow box by stacking up rocks all the way to the top and i know i do not want the standard "wall" aquascape...instead maybe 2 or 3 islands.

anyone care to comment? i'm confused which configuration would work best for 2 or 3 islands?

If I did mine again, I would build the overflow off the back of the tank so it dosen't take up any 'in tank' space.

If you had the tank build a few inches "skinny-er", you could then have the external overflow.
That was my suggestion also (which is what I'm doing for my new tank).

Otherwise, I would say make it an end (side) overflow.
