overflow pipe depth

i am in the middle of plumbing my sump and was wondering what is the maximum that you can put the overflow pipe under water in the sump?

Far enough that they would not cause too much bacl pressure I would assume. I would go as far down as you can still get your hand in and around the chamber for the overflow pipes.

It can go all the way under to the bottom if you want to...I would slice the pipe at an angle too.

It's not like the water will back up into the drain.

I put mine far in the sump and then towards the bottom it has a 45 on it.
