overflow slots and wavebox

Hi,
Just curious if there is any info yet from Tunze on recommendations for the depth of your overflow slots when utilizing a wavebox. I would imagine that if you are just building your tank, you should make them lower then normal-- or do the boxes seem to work just fine on the standard produced aquariums that have overflow boxes. I think the slots on most bigger tanks are about 1.5 inches deep.
THanks,

It really depends on the tank size and design. A center overflow box would need no modification, end overflows shorten the wave a bit, in most cases the stock overflows are fine but on really large tanks with wavebox extensions the wave may be big enough to require a deeper overflow.

Yes, Roger, it is a 10' long aquarium that you had recommended at least one extenstion on, possibly two.

I am currently getting a pretty good wave on an 8' tank with just one box, so I imagine I will only go with one extension on the 10' and it will have 2 overflows about 28" long each on either end of the back of the tank.

I would plan to accomodate a 1.5-2" wave but with such a long tank a double or even triple wave could be achieved and the more waves the shorter the height.
