Overflow Sump Filter Sock Foaming

I set up my 57 Gallon Deep Blue Rimless a week ago. The tank has Life Rock and Tropic Eden live reef flakes sand. The water coming from the tank down to the sump into the filter sock is foaming uncontrollably. It has been doing this since starting the tank. When I try to run the skimmer(Bubble Magus Curve 7) it also foams so bad on minimum it overflows immediately. I've attached some pictures to help visualize.

Can anyone help identify why it's foaming, how to get it to stop, and when I can anticipate it stopping?

Get a bucket of rodi water with seachem prime and soak them for a few hours. Then rinse very well in pure rodi. The socks might have bleach or other chemicals in it.

Also if you have no livestock in the tank then do a 100% water change to clean out anything that is in the water. Try running some carbon.

I think not washing the socks first is probably the issue and that is effecting the skimmer. A water change would be good and replace the sock with a nice clean one that has been washed well in rodi. Just about everything new should be washed before added to the tank due to chemicals being present from the manufacture process.

Socks have been washed several times at this point, I have performed 10% Water change, raised skimmer to where it is only in about an inch above the intake. Still foaming out of the filter sock like crazy and skimmer foams over immediately when turned on.

If your live rock was not cured this could cause the foaming problem. As the rock cures it delivers organic material into the water.Take a piece of rock out and smell it.If it has a putrid smell the die off is causing the problem.Shut down your skimmer and do a 50 percent water change.Remove the filter sock for now.How are you cycling the tank?

The rock used was Life Rock not Live Rock so no die off...
I am assuming it's just from the bacteria on the Life Rock and the live sand.
Using some "liquor/janitor grade" ammonia for cycle
