overhead fuge?

What kind of shelving are you guys using to place your overhead fuge on?
I have looked at the local hardware stores and see some potential but am debating just making the shelving unit rather than buying it.
I have a fish room so I have room for the shelving unit or building it in.

I've been contemplating an overhead fuge as well, but the only thing that concerns me is a microbubble issue?
