Hi guys,

Can u help, i went away for the weekend and the fan i use to cool the tank seized and did not work for 3 days. Tank temp reached 31.5degress it normally stays constant at 26night 27 day.

I had just got colour back as well, now everything has gone brown again and does not look healthy. Euphilia looks had it lots of skeleton showing. Not expanding at all.

Will it recover? should i remove it? It has some flesh left

please help and give me some advise

bring temp down slowly (you dont wanna shock the inhabitants again) and if it's gonna heal, and it might if its still got some flesh, it will do so on its own.

I have the same problem durring summer. I learned to deal with it by reversing my lighting cycle to night only (coolest part of the day, and I especially keep all doors open and place 1 or 2 fans (wal mart, clip-on types) one over the sump and one over the lights (if needed). I find that when I change my lighting to night and open up all doors at that time, lots of times durring the day I have to be careful or the temp will drop too far (except on F#$* hot days). there is a learning curve with this method and I find it works well. Better that spending ARM/LEG on a chiller. You can also get fans specifically for this at some LFS's and on line. I think ice cap makes some good ones. I looked into it, they are a bit pricey $40-$50 or so until I stumbled onto what I'm doing now...good luck. And bye the way, the changes/high temps will kill your corals/fish/etc so do it now.
