Overly budding kenya tree..

My Kenya tree coral has dropped buds and they are growing everywhere.. Even in between my green star polyps.. Is there any way to control this?

Not really. A happy Kenya is well known for this behavior. Best you can do is build a rubble dam around the mother and hope the babies drop on the rubble. Then you have a nice frag already mounted for trade or LFS credit.

I have one that has dropped about 15 buds. I find that the best way is to watch it and once you see the bud just dangling then just give it a tug and it will come right off.

Kenyan Tree corals are in demand so try to sell them to a LFS, a local reefer, or just give them away.

It's a pain sometimes, cause it tends to get in the way. But it is a nice way to fill any voids in the tank

I think thats a sea whip, kenya trees are a capnella sp. I believe
