Overnight shipping charges??

Hello...I'm curious how the shipping charges for overnight can vary so drastically between competitors.

I was in the market for a new light fixture....$190 for overnight air for Marine Depot vs. $21 from another place? How can this be? Thx!!!

depend on where the company is located and where you are located. how much is the fixture itself? most places have free shipping when your total is over a certain amount.

They both offered free shipping but since I needed it asap, I had to do overnight. I'm in the northeast and MD is in Ca...other place is in Central U.S...obviously closer to me but still doesn't justify those differences in cost.

It's a moot point now...the fixture shipped today and I expect it tomorrow. It was a 30" AquaticLife. I in fact called to confirm the shipping rate and it was accurately estimated per the site.

I'm not angry and I have ordered from MD before and will again...I just won't if it's a heavier product that I need quickly

I just found the huge price difference odd.
